Children are like Newfoundland Weather

Children are just like the weather, sometimes they are bright and happy, sometimes they are dreary, sometimes all in one minute. You never know from one moment to the next what you are going to get. Much like the weather, yelling at it, offering it a bribe, being kind to it, begging it or sucking up to it is futile.

You will notice that if you just take the time to admire it , that the storms are just as amazing and beautiful as the sunshine, much like a childs laughter and tears.

I much prefer to photograph the essence of the child, weather its a smile or tears. That’s just my opinion, but that’s what I put on my walls.

The photos below are actually my darling neices Summer and Hayley. They were taken 4 years ago. Ironically at that time it was the littlest one who refused to be photographed. Two years later, it was the older child who refused. I did manage to get photos that I love both times.
